Top-Text bvba is a well-established and highly-reputed translation agency set up in 1989 by Herman Joseph. For two decades, he devoted himself with heart and soul to building Top-Text. In 2009 he decided to take a step down. Since then Frieke Pollet has taken over the business’s everyday management.  Top-Text’s mission statement however has gone unchanged: to provide high-quality, sworn translations with a keen eye to detail and every possible nuance.

In 2007, Frieke graduated as a Master of Translation Studies (Dutch, English and French) from Hogeschool Gent (Ghent University College). Although she initially racked up some experience in the world of business, the translation bug kept itching and in 2008 she decided to set up as a self-employed freelance translator as a secondary occupation. In late 2009, she joined Herman at Top-Text.

Since then she has been handling all translations from French and English to Dutch. For the other language combinations, she calls on the services of a team of expert translators who have been judiciously selected. All translations are handled by native speakers so as to ensure that they are styled not only in observance of the content but also in deference to the cultural context.

Gradually, translations for the tourist industry have gone on to become a speciality of the agency. Needless to say we are entirely at your beck and call to handle translations in any number of different areas of expertise.
